Sofia Maldonado Feliciano and Lydia Mastrangelo met freshman year of college when they were randomly assigned together as roommates. Their four years together included many all-nighters in the stop-motion studio and hours watching cartoons which inevitably led them to becoming great animators and even greater friends.
The animators felt frustrated post graduation since they were surrounded by so much talent but felt there was little opportunity and a lack of accessible spaces for animators. With their combined knowledge and passion- Malwink Studios was born.
